I run the non-profit signature event series during the Chinese New Year time. This yearly event series is a very important bridge to connect and promote bilateral collaborations in business, trade, tourism, education and cultural exchanges. This non-governmental and non-political platform is 100% community based. Through this Hurun Australia platform, we not only recognise individuals and organisations in different fields who have made significant contributions to the China-Australia friendship, but also showcase the best of Australia to the world, promoting tourism, harmony, cultural engagement and investment.
In February 2019, we successfully launched this Hurun Australia platform with a series of 5 signature events including Art Exhibition at Barangaroo, Business Forum at Barangaroo, Hurun Cup Horse Racing at Royal Randwick, Awards Gala Dinner at the Star Event Centre and a Super yacht farewell party on Sydney harbour. It was the most anticipated and the most talked-about Chinese New Year events in Australia. The 2019 event series were title sponsored by PwC Australia, with official philanthropy partners The Australian Ballet and Protect What is Precious by Susan Rockefeller, and further supported by the Australian Turf Club, the Star, Aston Martin, La Prairie, Gou Bu Li, Moelis Australia, Pepper Tree Wines, Compass Global Markets, Singapore Airlines and Vera Wang. In 2020, we will cover both Sydney and Melbourne.
I am proud to be able to contribute to the friendship between both cultures that I call home - one that gave birth to me and one that raised me.
